We are looking for volunteers to support our ‘Break the Bias’ workshops in schools. These sessions focus on exploring LGBTQ+ identities and challenging bias and hate-based behaviours, helping young people to develop understanding, respect, and confidence in these areas.
As a volunteer, you will work alongside a trained facilitator to help deliver the sessions. Your responsibilities may include helping run activities, taking attendance, answering students’ questions, and constructively challenging bias when it arises.
We welcome volunteers who are confident, comfortable explaining their viewpoints, and able to remain neutral during discussions. A good understanding of bias, particularly LGBTQ+–related bias, is helpful, but we can provide training on how to challenge bias effectively.
Volunteer hours are Monday to Friday, during school hours and term time only. You must be 18+ to apply.
