Current Vacancies
Trustees (Multiple Roles)
The Kite Trust is looking to recruit a number of new Trustees to serve on our board. We are at an exciting point in the charity’s development, developing a new strategy which will guide our mission to grow our presence from a local to national scale, deepen our impact and deliver exciting new programmes for the benefit and empowerment of LGBTQ+ young people.
Many of our current trustees have been with us for over six years (having served two terms) and will be leaving us later this year. While we are sad to see them leave us and are grateful for their insights over the years, we also welcome the opportunity to bring new skills and insights to the board. As such, we are looking for several new trustees, including a Treasurer, based anywhere across the country.
We welcome applications from people who share our passion and commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ young people, alongside skills and experience in any of the following: Finance (for Treasurer role), Charity Governance and Compliance, Income Generation and Business Development, Safeguarding, Human Resources, and Communications.
Salary – N/A – voluntary
Location – Trustee meetings (Board and sub-committee meetings) are conducted online. There will be opportunities to visit The Kite Trust at the Cambridgeshire LGBTQ+ at instances through the year.
Hours – Board meetings are for two hours on a quarterly basis. Additional time will be required for sub-committee meetings. It is a requirement to attend Ely one day a year for a Trustee Day. The role also involves communication between board meetings and other occasional tasks.
You can find more information about the role and how to apply in the Job Pack. Applications should be submitted directly to Dr Mike Finn, the Chief Executive Officer at ceo@thekitetrust.org.uk by 9am, Tuesday 28th October.
