This is an exciting new initiative run by The Kite Trust in Cambridge, with support from The Equity Fund. We will run three free workshops to support and empower trans people to take ownership of their professional lives and advance their careers. There are 20 places for trans and non-binary individuals working in the charity and public sectors and a further ten places for young people who use The Kite Trust’s services.
These are very challenging times for all gender-diverse people in the UK. The Supreme Court Judgement and the subsequent EHRC Interim Guidance have emboldened bigotry and further promoted the vilification of trans people. In addition to the workshops’ content, you will have the opportunity to meet other trans people and build a professional support network. You will be able to act as a role model for young people as well as learn what it’s like to be young and trans in the UK right now.
The workshops will be in person and take place in Cambridge on 18th July, 27th August and 1st October.
If you want to be a part of the UK’s only leadership project dedicated solely to trans people, then please complete the application form here. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and then a waiting list will be started.
This inaugural project will be free and only for those working in not-for-profit industries. If you are interested in applying from other sectors for future projects or want to discuss bespoke training, then please do contact us.
