Building Bridges

This 6-week one-to-one programme provides support for young people who are at risk of or have engaged in hate-based behaviours towards LGBTQ+ communities. The sessions are loosely structured to provide a space for young people to reflect upon their attitudes, beliefs and behaviours and understand the impact and harm that these may have on different communities.

We utilise restorative justice and motivational interviewing techniques to guide young people toward meaningful behaviour change which helps them to better understand LGBTQ+ communities and ultimately foster more accepting and inclusive attitudes and behaviours. The programme has been developed in collaboration with young people to ensure their interests, needs and concerns are appropriately addressed throughout.
