Communications & Campaigns Officer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic professional to lead on all things communications and campaigns for a new project to change the narratives on LGBTQ+ youth with a UK-wide focus.  

The Kite Trust is the lead organisation on a new project: ‘Turning the Tide for LGBTQ+ Youth’ that will run from 2025 to 2030 and involve collaboration with other LGBTQ+ youth organisations across the UK. Within this project, the Communications and Campaigns Officer will be responsible for creating the project’s communication assets and processes, providing capacity building to LGBTQ+ youth organisations in the field on communications, developing and delivering communication campaigns through co-production with LGBTQ+ youth, and supporting young people to engage in media opportunities.    

Salary – £26,335 

Location – Home-based, with travel to Ely, Cambridgeshire and other locations across the UK occasionally.    

Hours – The Kite Trust operates a 4-Day/32 Hour working week Monday-Thursday. The role is available on a full-time basis, however applicants who wish to fulfil the role through part-time, job share or other flexible working options are welcome.

Youth Work Assistants

We are looking for candidates who have availability in term time on weekday evenings (5.30pm – 8.30pm) on a regular basis, for the following Youth Groups: 

  • Mondays: Peterborough and Wisbech 
  • Tuesdays: Ely and St Neots 
  • Wednesdays: Cambridge and Huntingdon 
  • Thursdays: March, Peterborough, and online. 

Other shifts will also be available to support residentials, weekend family activities, and events, so additional availability is advantageous but not essential.  

Salary – £14.22 per hour 

Location – At group locations across the county.  

Hours – Sessional contracts paid hourly for shifts worked.
